LFJ Compositions

Short music bio:

I started playing piano when I was 11 years old after hearing "fur elise" on the radio.  I took lessons for 2 and a half years, then continued to teach myself on my own.  I started listening to a lot of piano music on cd's and developed an earnest appreciation and interest in piano music, eventually using the free demo of the software sibelius to convert midi music into notation form, allowing me to play it on piano.  This allowed me to play a lot of my favorite video game/movie/classical music that I could find in midi format on the web.

In high school I played euphonium, tuba, trombone, and occasional accompanying on the piano. I developed an interest in music theory (made my own class my senior year approved by my music teacher entitled music composition/theory, which was just doing exercises in some book, not really a class, and I didn't take it as seriously as I should have). I also play a little guitar and the recorder and try to sing, though I sing rather poorly. Most of my musical skills were self taught, including composition and theory, and improvisation, which i've never took any classes in.

I used to play keyboards in a band called The Chase, but not currently...some of the songs still have my playing on it (www.myspace.com/thechaserock).  Currently, I'm working on a project for my friend to compose some music for this computer game he is developing, and I'm attempting to write a symphony for full orchestra.
